Below is an excerpt of an email between a tenant and IRES/Emerald Landing about the RV campers across the street (tenant initial email is at the bottom of this post in bold:
We completely share the frustration on the parking and have had a number of conversations with SPD and Councilman Peterson’s office about this horrible situation.
Bottom line the 72 hour parking rule enforcement was to be lifted july 1 and we have been trying to get an answer if it has so the city can enforce this rule. No answer yet. We will let you know once we know.
I cannot express how frustrated we are with the city’s lack of response to our continued concerns on safety of our tenants, employees and all living and doing business in our neighborhood.
As I am sure you are aware, the amount of transient RV’s and Campers has tripled over the past few months. Parking has become increasingly difficult and some of my staff have expressed serious concerns over their own safety when walking to/from their cars. We’ve accommodated the best we can at this time for some of our employees who are feeling scared, but I wanted to reach out to see if there was availability to “rent” out additional spaces.
